Product setup and care

Set up is easy: Simply unpack, roll out and take off the plastic wrapping. Early Bird should be set up on a level bed frame or box spring. Placing your Early Bird mattress on the floor is not recommended.

Full inflation can take 24-48 hours, however Early Bird can be slept on after 10 minutes of inflation.

The odor is neither toxic nor dangerous; it may last for a few hours, but it will eventually go away.

Yes. They are fire barrier certified.

Once you have removed your mattress from its box and the seal has been broken, it cannot be placed back in the box. If you are moving your mattress, we suggest storing in a mattress box which you can find at home improvement stores.

Yes! Early Bird works with adjustable bed frames.

Yes, as long as it is in good condition and able to support the mattress with a firm and flat support.

You do not have to use a box spring. Your Early Bird mattress just needs a level and solid bed foundation. We don’t recommend placing the mattress on the floor.

At this time, we don’t offer mattress removal or set up but we will in the future. Check back soon to find out when!

Nope! But we recommend turning it 180 degrees every 6 months.

Your Early Bird mattress cover can be spot cleaned. Do not remove your Early Bird mattress cover and place in a washing machine.

Early Bird mattresses are not designed to be folded. Our warranty will not cover issues that arise from folding the mattress.

Rotations: We suggest rotating every 6 months. Regular rotation of your mattress will help it wear evenly.
No jumping: Jumping on the bed can damage the coils and the fibers of your mattress.
Use a mattress cover: A waterproof, washable mattress cover provides extra protection from spills and allergens.
Keep clean and dry: If you spill something you can dab at it with warm soapy water, but avoid getting it any more wet than you have to since moisture creates a breeding ground for mold. Then, let it dry completely before making the bed.
Use Baking Soda for odors: To absorb odors without harming your mattress sprinkle it with baking soda and wait 20 minutes. Then use a vacuum to suck up the baking soda, and enjoy a fresher night’s rest.
Carry carefully: If you need to lift it completely, do so from underneath, and make sure to get several strong people to work together, lifting with their legs. Only transport your mattress when it’s fully supported.
Replace when it’s time: Even with the best care, your mattress will eventually wear out, usually after eight to 10 years. If your mattress is old and you find that you’re waking up with an achy back or it’s not feeling as comfortable it used to it may be time to replace.
